Re: OMG..disney already sold out for DEC??
This is odd in a off season. I tried to help you out I found on Expedia the Swan and The Dolphin have rooms. (I just tried the second week not sure about exact dates) Sometimes travel agents have blocks maybe try them. Good Luck!!!!!!
I also checked Orbitz and the same thing. One of the travel people popped up and I asked them about it they said sometimes in the off season as it gets closer you can call for rates and they do have rooms. Good Luck again!!

Re: OMG..disney already sold out for DEC??
They had an offer for disney visa card holders for Free Dining during that time which i'm thinking alot of people (including us) took advantage of. We're going the 13th-20th and staying in animal kingdom, but certain rooms there were already unavailable and we booked almost a month ago. I would keep checking though... we decided to go down a night earlier than we originally planned and wanted to stay somewhere cheaper since we're getting down there late, so we decided to stay in a value. At first, the WDW website said they were all booked, but DH was able to book a night at one of the all stars through expedia.com, and then a couple of hours later, there were rooms available again on the WDW site. So, i'd say to keep checking. I think you can get a full refund of your deposit up to 45 days before the trip... so in another week or so, alot of spots will probably open up from people opting out.
But, the reason (i think) its all booked is b/c its a value season rate for the room plus the free dining for cardholders.

Re: OMG..disney already sold out for DEC??
Neenie hit it pretty much on the head. Disney launched a few different promotions that run through varying dates in December. All of which are likely driven by the prospect of empty rooms as people are travelling less in times of economic uncertainty.
I can tell you that the booking situation changes every day, due to cancellations, room holds that never receive deposits, maintenance, etc; so keep trying. Be sure to utilize either a travel agent or Disney's reservations line, as some room inventory will become available and then sold without ever making it to the website.
One other tip would be to be flexible with your beginning and end dates. Sometimes you're request will come up as unavailable just because the first or last day is booked. So play around with it a little.

In addition to the free dining promo and a few others that is also I think POP warner group time - at the all stars - check out disboards about them - they can be a bit rowdy I have read.

Re: OMG..disney already sold out for DEC??
They are promoting the hell out of the off season. We're about to go on our 5th trip in about 6 years, 4 out of 5 have been in the off season, and the crowds have steadily increased.
I called a few weeks in advance to make ADRs and I couldn't believe how much stuff was totally booked, wheras we usually just walk in to most dining.
I would DEFINITELY call 1 407 WDISNEY directly. If you can be flexible about your dates, or if you're willing to switch hotels midway through, you can probably find something. Their systems are very funky and aprticular and will say nothing is avilable even if something is available for 6 out of your 7 days or whatever. So I'd call and the agent will definitely walk you through soem scenarios.
have a GREAT time. I LOVE going during Christmastime. I'm excited to go for Halloween season this year, but I almost wish i could do xmas again. Someday!
