Re: Tavern on the Green
I took DH there for our 2nd anniversary. It was cute, from what I remember the food was good. The best part was that you can pre-order a cake, so I had them make a small strawberry shortcake for us - that was what our wedding cake was.

Re: Tavern on the Green
DH took me there for my bday It was nice - we sat outside in the garden, not sure what it is like to sit inside. The food was ok - I think you pay more for the atmosphere.

Re: Tavern on the Green
Tavern on the Green is nice, especially if you can sit outside. The food is eh.
Down the block is Cafe DesArtist which is also nice.

Re: Tavern on the Green
I was very very very disappointed. IMO a million great places to go in NYC for that money - Tavern on the Green is completely overrated

Re: Tavern on the Green
My mom was there for a wedding Sat. night. She said it's absolutely gorgeous but was not impressed with the food at all.
