Pet sitting

DH and I are going away this weekend. We have booked Sandy in at the vet -which we have done b/4 but I hate it that she is in a crate all the time. My best friend offered to watch her at her house but I don't know if it would be to much for her or not. I would love to leave her there this way I know she is not in a crate all the time and her son loves Sandy. I don't know which way to go. What would you do?

Re: Pet sitting

WEll, if she offered, I would let your friend take care of your dog. Just leave the vet's number and call her daily for an update.
I'd also get your friend a GC to a good restaurant or for a massage or something as a thank you.

Re: Pet sitting

I would definitely let your friend have her over the vet. I really don't like the idea of leaving Misty in a kennel and will do everything in my power to have someone stay with her or her stay with a friend.

I agree with this --- dogs are stressed when they are taken out of their environment. Plus there are lots of bugs they can pick up in a kennel. As long as the friend comes a few times a day (2 or 3, depending on your dog's habits) your baby will be much happier at home.

ETA -- Oh taking pup to her house -- much better than a kennel!!!!!! Be sure to leave the vet's # and to get your friend a nice gift. I usually bring something from wherever I am visiting.

I would accept the offer. I have my two cats watched at our house. Luckily, my dental hygenist does it on the side and I'm very happy to pay for the serviceChat Icon
