How to make a Baseball Player out of a Coffee Can

I really need youre help.
My son has a book report and you have to make a coffee can into youre main character... which is a baseball player.

Need ideas.... Please

How about...

Draw a body in uniform on a piece of paper that you can wrap around the can.
Get a white baseball - draw a face on it, add some hair (yarn) and see if you can get a small cap in a craft store near the doll section or the toy store then attach it to the top of the can.

You could use a styrofoam ball for the head too.
