Do you have someone like that in your office??
These two secretaries on the other side of my cube chatter about all kinds of unrelated to work BS ALL THE TIME!
They discuss AT LENGTH, among other things:
How cute their cats are
Whether or not cats should be shaved in the summer (I almost threw up during that conversation)
Whether or not they "cared" for lunch they ordered this particular day
Whether or not one of them should eat soup she bought in from home or leave it for tomorrow
If a certain garment one of them saw in a catalog would look good on her
How stupid one of the their GF for not having any saving and getting pregnant from her BF.
How one of her GF's baby daddy is a scum bag
The worst part is , one of them has a really high pitched voice...
I don;t even know what to do... I actually like these women, well one of them at least but I am just really tired or listening to this BS!
Sometimes when I am really busy I put on my headphones, sometimes even without music, just to block their chatter...
I am not sure I want to complain because these girls are assistants to my boss's boss and the SVP of my whole department, and I do want to remain on good terms with them. And like I mentioned, I actually like one of them and am on really good terms with her...
Ugh, I don't know what to do... I am not even sure if I am looking for advice or just for sympathy.... or for anexample of a similar situation....

Oh god where I used to work i had a girl in the cube across from me who constantly talked about her son. How he had dinner the night before, what he ate, going potty, you name it she would talk about it. I mean i love kids but sometimes enough is enough. She would also mix personal issues in there too. It got so bad that I put my IPOD on high to drown it.

Yes. I put in my earbuds and blast Megadeath. It really chaps my azz though b/c the rest of us are actually trying to work
