if you are in your 30's

how long would you TTC before seeing a RE? we started in september, had a m/c in november and still no luck.. should i wait for the full 6 months after the m/c, or date trying back to september?

Re: if you are in your 30's

at like 6-8 months.
Im 30, We waited till the 9th month I think, and we felt that was rushing it, but we knew I had previous cervical surgeries which would make it possibly difficult to get PG, so once we hit the 8-9 month mark we made an RE appointment.

They say if your over 35 go after 6 months. Because bottom line is always the older you are statistically your going to take longer to get PG.

You really should see what your OB suggests...
and I know this is hard, but see what happens. Try not to think about whats going to happen in a few months, because stress can cause you ovulation issues etc that will prevent you from having an easy time of it.

but no since you did get PG pretty recently, you should wait the 6 months from when you M/C'd if your still not pg.

If you M/C'd in Nov. When were you able to start trying again ? Last month?

I would ask your ob/gyn to run a series of hormone tests. I would also ask him/her if she can write a RX for the rpl panel, unless you already know the cause of your miscarriage was chromosomally related.

Personally, for my own sanity, I would go after 6 months.

Re: if you are in your 30's

After 6 mos of trying to conceive, I would ask my OB/GYN to prescribe the general work-up (HSG, Sperm Analysis and Hormone Testing) and then follow up with an RE.

Re: if you are in your 30's

My MD said that it can take a whole year before getting pg. However, its been over 6 months so he said they might send me earlier.

I agree. I am not TTC yet, but thinking about it. I didn't know I was hypothyroid until my obgyn ran bunch of tests; thyroid issues can be one cause of miscarriage. Also, for some reason my prolactin came up high onceChat Icon then the next time it was normal. I would think those tests can be done at any time, no need to wait.

I was told my my gyn that after 6 months of trying and no baby, I should go to see her so that she can do testing.
