"Personal Grroming"
inspired by what someone posted on another thread and my best friend who says she's given up on shaving her legs and tying her shoes...her DH does it for her now.
Do you really give it up altogether? I was seriously considering getting waxed before giving birth so I wouldn't have to worry about it

Re: "Personal Grroming"
I was pregnant in the winter time so I would let it go for a few days...but now as time is coming to an end, I'm a shaving freak. Everyday I shave to be prepared for the big day.
A lot of people wax because it's easier but I've never done it before and I don't think I would try it now either. Just my opinion though...

Yeah I was shaving all the time twords the end just to be prepared!! But I was pg all through the summer so I was shaving all the time through my whole pregnancy. I was also tying my own shoes up until... well until I left the house in the middle of the night to go to the hospital!

Re: "Personal Grroming"

Re: "Personal Grroming"
I have to shave everyday, especially since its so hot out and my legs are showing. I have never waxed so I couldn't imagine starting that now! I can't see below my belly, so I think I am going to have to break down and ask my DH to take care of that "area". Ahhhh, pregnancy, it is so humbleing!

humbling...YES! that is what this is!!! Lucky me, I've had my humbling moment with DH already....when I had my tonsils out it started bleeding out 2 days later and he had to rush me to the ER (we were just dating).....I ended up vomiting blodd all over the gurney and myself....and he didn't run!! He helped clean me up!

Re: "Personal Grroming"
I can still see under my belly, so I'm still groomed ( ) but I think as I get closer I'll get a wax - I've done it before and it was slightly more painful than pre-pregnancy, but I think I'll really want that for delivery time.
Funny little story my mother keeps telling me... "back in the days" they would shave you at the hospital before delivering. My mother had this whole speech for me when I got PG about how to prepare myself for when it grows back in I said, Ma - they don't do that anymore! She absolutely couldn't believe it
PS - Ever since getting PG I need to (and SHOULD) shave my legs 2x a day - it's crazy!

Re: "Personal Grroming"
Too funny-I was just out with my 2 girlfriends and we were talking about how we "groomed" ourselves prior to labor. I remember the day I was induced sitting on the floor in front of a mirror and using my husband's beard trimmer (OMG am I really typing this?!?!) Ijust wanted to be as clean as possible. I also got a fresh pedicure that morning too-I wanted to look hot in those stirrups

Re: "Personal Grroming"
I agree, personal grooming is a must, plus, when it gets to the end and your husband need to step up to the plate and help the baby come out, I'm sure he doesn't want to see an untidy "area", I use a mirror usually, plan on going for a brazilian closer to my due date.

Re: "Personal Grroming"
I'm still debating whether to not go for a brazilian but in the meantime, I'm still a shaving freak... whether I can see or not!!
