Any cross-stitchers?
Hi All!
I am new to LIF and figured I'd say hello!
Anyone out there do counted cross-stitch? I am addicted! It's my main hobby and I love it! I mostly make wedding and baby samplers to give as gifts for friends/family. Rarely do I make anything for myself & DH 
I'd love to meet some fellow cross- stitchers!

Hey hey! Welcome to LIF I used to be obsessed with counted cross-stitch when I was younger, lately haven't really had the time but I have done some baby samplers and the like I also have basically nothing that I have done here, all for other people

I USED to be in love with counted cross stitch and have made many little samplers and ornaments and stuff.
But since having kids, I find that it requires too much concentration and attention, and I wanted something a little easier to pick up and put down, or do while watching TV at night, etc. So now I am knitting-obsessed
I'm sure I'll return to cross stitch in a few years when the kids are bigger and I have a little more free time!

I'm trying to get going with selling some of my pieces, like custom making things for weddings or new babies, etc. I am working on a baby sampler now for a friend of mine - she is paying me to make it for her to give as a gift. Hopefully my work will spread by word of mouth or whatever and I'll get some more work!

I've been doing them for quite a few years. I love it. I've done a bunch of them as gifts and even a huge one for my first child when I was still pregnant. Now I only find time for small ones otherwise I never get to finish them. ( I still owe my babies #2 & #3 their own cross stitch - someday!)
I'm working on a small holiday one right now, hopefully I can get it done before the end of the year.
