What do you eat on Thanksgiving??
Besides the traditional turkey, what is a dish that your family makes for thanksgiving?
With my side of the family we ALWAYS have Arroz con Guandules and Lechon. No matter what holiday it is, those two things will be always be there.

Re: What do you eat on Thanksgiving??
This is the 11th Annual Thanksgiving hosted by my DH and I.
Besides the traditional Thanksgiving food (turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, yams, etc...), I always make a pasta dish.
I don't eat any of the traditional Thanksgiving foods, plus we are Italian...so we always do a HUGE antipasta...(stuffed breads, cheeses, olives, focaccia, cold cuts, proscuitto/ breadsticks, etc...)
And this years' pasta dish will be lasagna.
Last year was penne ala vodka.
Year before, baked ziti.
I like to mix it up.

Our family does the same with the big antipasta & then pasta.

Re: What do you eat on Thanksgiving??
My mom always starts off with the Italian Wedding Soup. I don't normally eat soup but I like it.
But for my main course, I have chicken cutlets because I don't like turkey

Re: What do you eat on Thanksgiving??
Thanksgiving is the only holiday that we don't at a pasta dish as a 1st course!!!!
We always have a bunch of different appetizers.
Turkey Ham Stuffing Mashed potatos sweet potatos stuffed mushrooms Stuffed artichokes Glazed carrots sauteed string beans
I know I am missing stuff! But God, I love Thanksgiving!!!
