gift question

I am a first year teacher, so I am not familiar with what to get my kids or para. I have 2 paras.... one is a 1 to 1 and the other is a class para. I love them both and want to get them something for the holidays, but I don't know what... any ideas?

Also, what should I get my 6th 7th 8th grade self contained class? I have 8 kids. 7 of them are MR.

I would really appreciate your help.

For your paras...I would look into something from either Bath and Body Works or Yankee Candle. You can't really go wrong with either.

I am making my two aides (and the secretaries!) a set of gift cards.

For the custodians, I bake them something.

Definitely get soemthing for your paras... for the male, perhaps a gift card to a neutral place like Macy's?? Or does he like a particular sports team? Maybe something related to that?

for the kids, keep in simple. i don't buy gifts for the kids. i usually do a holiday party of some sort... perhaps the last day before break you could do something like baking cookies as a class and send them home with some? something hands on would probably be really good for your MR group rather than just handing them a gift.
