Yoga
I have been doing yoga once a week for the past 2 months and I absolutely love it! I take the classes at a private studio and I supplement my workouts 2-3 days a week at a gym. Do you think it's worth it to "only" do yoga once a week? The classes are expensive and I also belong to a gym. Thoughts?

Re: Yoga
Is there a Yoga or Pilates class you could take at the gym? It probably won't be as good, but at least your body will get similar benefits. Doing Yoga once a week definitely has it's benefits as it is a mind-body workout, and you most likely would feel different if you gave it up, not so much physically, but mentaly.

Re: Yoga
You probably have a good feel of some yoga poses since you've done it a few times. After you take the class, try out the poses at home. Play around with how the poses feel and hold them for different times. you can really personalize the experience at home and its more days that you're doing yoga! When I started practicing on my own, I really began to understand the poses. So I used home as pure practice, but it wound up turning into so much more.
There's also some great tips for yoga you can do in bed, or some spinal stretches you can do after you wake up or calming poses to do before going to sleep.... you can always go onto a website and use some of those suggestions to add to your home practice... iyogalife.com, fityoga.com or yogajournal.com

Re: Yoga
Can you switch to a gym that offers Yoga classes so you can do both? My gym offers 3 Yoga classes a week and a palites class once a week, I just started taking both and love them, but also like the fact that I can still do cardio and weight training at the same gym.
