Eye cancer
Does anyone know much about this? My sister in law was diagnosed with this and I am very concerned.

Re: Eye cancer
Is it a nevis that is cancerous in the eye (melanoma?) I think there are different types of eye cancers, but I'm not sure.
I'm sorry about this, hopefully they can take care of it and she'll be fine.

Thanks. I haven't spoken to her yet. I just know she needs radiation.

Re: Eye cancer
Radiation can sometimes preserve the vision the eye with cancer. If they caught it early, I think there are good statistics on surviving. Please keep me posted. I just went through a similar scare (been seeing eye MDs for the past three months, because my optomotrist saw a "nevis" on some computer image; the actual MD dilated my eyes on two different occasions, and saw nothing, so he feels there is nothing there, and just an artifact on the image.)

Re: Eye cancer
I just met a social worker who holds a support group for people with eye cancer. I can get you her info if you're interested.
