What charity do you donate to?
DH & I want to make a donation this holdiay season but we aren't sure where.
Just looking for some ideas , thanks
i should add I already made a donation to the Brookhaven Animal Shelter,now I am looking for a people organization!

I am an animal lover and donate regularly to the Bide A Wee Home. It is a wonderful no kill shelter with a few locations in NYC and LI. My childhood dog came from there as did the cat I have now.
I feel terrible when I hear about people abandoning pets in this economy

My husband does all the donations (we do a couple, but I don't to where). This year I asked him to include RESOLVE (the national infertility organization).

I monetarily donate to Habitat for Humanity (looking to become a volunteer) and Memorial Sloan Kettering... I also donate platelets and blood.

Island Harvest - I feel strongly that no one should go hungry, no matter what they are going through.
In the past, I have also donated to Salvation Army and Habitat for Humanity

There is a TBI foundation I will now donate anually to - I was never aware of the seriousness of TBI's and how many people they affect until Kenneth got hurt -- so, now I will go out of my way to make sure I donate.
