What to use instead of Waxed paper???
I am making Truffles and I forgot to get waxed paper to place them on after they are dipped, what can I use instead? Will they stick to a non stick baking sheet? TIA
oh and here is what I plan on making
Oreo Truffles 1 package of Oreos cookies finally crushed. 1 8 oz of phili cream cheese softened 2 bars of bakers semi-sweet chocolate melted.
mix 3 cups of cookie crumbs and the cream cheese until well blended, shape into 1 inch balls
refrigerate for a bit so they get a little firm for dipping.
Dip balls into melted chocolate, than sprinkle remainder of cookie crumbs over top. Refrigerate until firm.

Re: What to use instead of Waxed paper???
I made something similiar to this yesterday, just minus the oreos. It was a very messy baking session, but they came out awesome. I don't see why you couldn't use the baking sheets. I think they just suggest the wax paper for ease of removing them to dip and then cleaning.
I had to put my mixture in the fridge before forming balls because it was really not firm enough. I put it in the bowl in the fridge but realized that if I ever made these again I would pour it out of the bowl and flatten it a bit so I could just break off sections. In the bowl, it never really firmed up in the center. My hands were COVERED in chocolate making the balls and with the warm chocolate, the balls got really soft really quick. You may want to keep some in the fridge and do batches.
