Chronicles of Narnia

Has anyone read these books? I just finished the Magician's Nephew and now I am on The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. I know I probably read that a while ago.

Usually I can't really get into fantacy books, but for some reason, I love these!

Re: Chronicles of Narnia

I read them last year for the first time and I bawled when I finished "The Last Battle". Did you get the box set? I'm so annoyed - after I read them all in order (as numbered on the spine) I found out that they weren't written in that order! So I reread them in the correct order and liked it that much more.

Yes, I got the boxed set. How is the order? Iknow that The Magician's Nephew is first, but then what comes next? I read The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, but did I feel like you kind of miss something in between. Like, what happened to the king and queen that Aslyn designated in the first book?

Re: Chronicles of Narnia

The order in which the books were published are:

1) The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe
2) Prince Caspian
3)The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
4) The Silver Chair
5) The Horse and His Boy
6) The Magician's Nephew
7) The Last Battle

This is actually the order to read them in if you want to read them in the internal chronological order. This might solve your confusion:

1) The Magacian's Nephew
2) The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
3) The Horse and His Boy
4) Prince Caspian
5) The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
6) The Silver Chair
7) The Last Battle

That's how they are sold, but that was not the order in which they were written.
