me too!! Otis knows how to work the both of us!! He thinks just because he walked outside and turned around and came back in he cries at his treat holder until he gets one!!

i was the same way till bailey got too chubby. now i give him healthier dog treats, ice cubes, carrots, grapes, even cucumbers. i also had to cut back on the raw hides (so bad for him!) he lost 7 pounds just from taking the bones away! he gets nylabones now.
now if only i could get my dad and dh to stop sneaking him table food!

I try not to over treat him with his doggie treats. I often find myself sneaking him 1 or 2 here and there. I give him ice cubes and he LOVES them as a treat.

OMG...martin is a chubby dog...
and i tried the low cal treats and ice cubes
when i show him an ice cube now he looks at me as if to say "I KNOW you ain't givin me dat crap"
fruits give him the runs

I got her some treats yesterday from Target - I thought they looked good LOL - they were from the Dog Bakery (or something like that) and they are Peanut Butter. I have tried to give them to her at least 5 times and she won't even put them in her mouth to try it.
Like she is WAY too good for those teeny treats. She looks away from me like "You are not seriously going to try and give me those again are you!"
These dogs are so freaking funny.

Have you tried giving him Cheerios? I know it sounds silly but this is what the dog trainer recommended for us to do when we were still treating as positive reinforcement.
I am the worst at saying no, which is probably why Fascinus is 36 lbs
