New Moon - spoilers
A lot of people said that they struggled to get through this book and didnt really like it. I have to say I LOVED IT. I couldnt put it down!!! Of course I think Twilight was the best so far, but New Moon was really good too.
I wonder why a lot of people didnt like it.

I'm a nerd and after reading the books was into some of the fansite discussion boards for a while. 
People who were Edward fans didn't like that it was so Jake focused.
I saw a lot of comments from Jake fans that Bella is selfish for leading Jake on the way she does.
There were people who thought that she was very immature for the way she goes to pieces in the beginning and ignores her friends and her reaction to Edward leaving was unrealistic.
I think people sometimes read WAY too much into it, it's a novel about an 18 year old girl. Of course she's going to be selfish and immature. And yes, it's unrealistic - it's a story about a vampire and a human realizing they are soulmates. 
If you are thinking about looking at some of the fansite boards and haven't read all the books, I'd wait until you finish reading all of them, since some of the titles of threads alone will spoil some of the storylines for you.

I must say New Moon was my least favorite and this is because Edward was gone most of the time ... my whole obessons for these books (and yes its an obsession  ) is the love story between Edward and bella not the vampire aspect or anything else just the love story so i personally couldnt stand reading most of New Moon ... my favorite is twilight then Breaking Dawn then New Moon ... i have read them all once and have listened to them twice already!!! i actually recommend everyone to listen to them too ...
ETA: Movie comes out on 11/20/09 and i cant wait!!!! even if it is my least favorite book out of the series!!!

i cried then too.
i cried even more when charlie was describing how bella was after edward left to alice.
it reminded me how i felt in high school when i had my heart broken for the 1st time.

New moon was good- a bit disappointed bc it was focused on Jacob (ugh) lol im sooo an Edward fan. im almost done with breaking dawn. LOVE LOVE the series .. going to read them again in a few months!
