Re: Anyone an ultrasound tech?

I looked into it a while back (it would have been a total career change for me). It's extremely interesting and I'm still really interested in it, but I would have to quit my job and not work for at least 2 years b/c of all the schooling and clinical hours that need to be done.

Re: Anyone an ultrasound tech?

My cousin is an ultrasound tech at a hospital in NYC (I can't remember which one). If you FM me, I can try to ask her your questions.

Re: Anyone an ultrasound tech?

I have some friends/colleagues that are ultrasound techs, I think it is two years of school. If I were you and you were willingly to go to school for two years, I would suggest nursing school. the are desperate for nursees right now. I know the hospital I used to work at had a starting salary of 60k for nurses. I heard Mather and Good Sam have a nursing program with suffolk with free tuition you just have to agree to work there when you are finished. Its a two year program w/free tuition.
