Extra Skin or fat ?
I feel dumb for asking this, but I really am clueless.
After having kidsI and gaining close to 100 lbs I have the extra skin that hangs at the bottom of my stomach (by my pubic bone). I'm sure most of you know what I am talking about.
Anway its been about 3 weeks now that I have been very dilligent with working out and I concentrate on my abs.
Anyway, i notice my stomach is firmer, but rounder? Is that normal? I sometimes feel bulkier around my waist then I did prior to working out.
Also, the skin that hangs, is there any real way to get rid of it? Will working out eventually help it to go away or is that destined to be there until I get a tummy tuck?

Re: Extra Skin or fat ?
how funny you ask this.
DH and I had a conversation about mine the other night before I took a shower.
He says its all skin. (it hangs on sides of my c-section scar)
I don't know what it is(I am not comfortable touching mine at all...isn't that weird?)

lol I know what you mean. I am kind of grossed out by it. I don't expect miracles to happen over night, I just didn't know if it will eventually go away with diet and excerise?
DH lost 100 lbs about 5 years ago and he has it to (how cute we match lol) He is ok with his because he doesn't think he would ever get it fixed surgically, however if I can't get it to go away on my own I would love to get a tummy tuck in a year or so down the road

Re: Extra Skin or fat ?
my aunt was 140 lbs before she was diagnosed with cancer.
She went down to 98 lbs.
She said she could not believe she still had a flap of skin over her scar.
She's okay now and in remission, but always talks about that flap that will never go away.
I am completely grossed out by mine. I never touch it or look at my scar. I can't believe its part of my body. I wish I could come to terms with it...or cut it off
