Dermatologist
anyone have any experience with getting a cosmetic consult?
I booked an appt for one. Thinking about a peel or something very low key to freshen my face.
I don't think I'll do any injectibles but I've been thinking I need to take better care of my face and may just end up with one of their estheticians.
has anyone done mild cosmetic stuff?
FM if you want.
Thanks

Re: Dermatologist
I used to go to a great dermatologist on Park and 37th - Isabelle Ponge Wilson. She has an assistant who does all the facials and microdermabrasions. I had a couple done before my wedding in 2005. She no longer takes my insurance, so I now go to Olympia Kovach at 34th and 1st. I have not had any procedures done by her other than surgical, but she is excellent too.

Nope. But I did a course of 6 and paid for 5.

Re: Dermatologist
I have a great Esthetician that I've been going to for years, I think she's the best for a long list of reasons. Her Microderms are very fairly priced, but her service is over the top in comparison (and I've compared!) She works out of the Malvern Wellness Center ) Not far from Mercy Hospital. If you're interested, let me know - I have to find her link. I travel from Huntington to see her, she is worth it!
1.5 hour microderm is $125 (?) She gives a very thorough treatment!

because I'm a derm newbie, can you tell me what a microderm really does and how you notice a difference? I'm looking to freshen up, take better care of my skin and overall look a little less tired and worn. I'd also like to prevent any further damage and protect my skin better. TIA!
