Give me some "side dish" ideas please.....
My healthy soups and stews are easy because they are jam packed with veggies and such.
But tonight I made a "WW" pot roast and I have no idea what to use as a side dish. I threw together a Caesar Salad, but that's still a skimpy side dish. What else can I do besides steamed veggies?

I cut up sweet potato and/or regular potato, salt and pepper and bake for "fries" or just wedges
one of those packaged rice sides (grains) from Trader Joe's, Kashi, etc.
Whole wheat pasta
hope this helps...I sometimes run out of sides, too...

I always have the same sides.
(cooked in low sodium chicken broth) Brown rice Whole wheat couscous Israeli couscous Quinoa
Whole wheat pasta
Potatoes, sweet potatoes (mashed with skim milk, baked homemade fries or just baked) Frozen french fries (baked in the oven)
Stir fried green Beans Roasted asparagus Soycutash (soy bean, corn and red pepper mix from Trader Joes)
Beans also make a great side (but can cost you some points)

With that, I would have made brown rice (using the broth from the soup) or threw the rice in the soup. I usually have veggies as a side. A whole bag of Steamfresh or a box of the Green Giant (whatever was on sale that week ) I don't eat a lot of rice. And I usually have salad for lunch so that doesn't leave much else for me.
