No period but not pregnant?
My period is 3 days late. I've taken a test and its not positive, but I have no signs of AF coming. Has this happened to anyone else? Do I need to go to my midwife and see whats up?

Hopefully it's something minor--are you under any stress right now?
I wouldn't call the Dr. just yet. I'd give it a week or two and then if nothing, call and see what's up.
I've had this happen to me, but when AF didn't come, it didn't come for MONTHS. I was diagnosed with PCOS, but hopefully that's not the case for you!

My cycles just started getting longer since I came off BCP. I am up to 38 day cycles. I would wait a week of so and then call your dr.

As a person who didn't have AF for over 3 years  , I wouldn't be too concerned with 3 days late. Many factors can throw it off one month. (ie: stress, weight gain or loss, etc.) Like the above poster said: Wait a week or two. Also, if it continues to be 'off' for a few months, then I'd ask the dr.

Maybe it is too soon for the pregnancy test to be correct? If you don't get it by next week take another one. This happened to a friend of mine a long time ago. SHe took the home preggo test and nothing. Two weeks later she went to the doctor and they told her she was pregnant.

See, the same thing happened to me, I couldn't get a BFP until around 16 weeks pregnant. BUT I was having symptoms like crazy, and I have not had a single symptom of pregnancy this time.

Yes.. a few months after i came off BC last year..i had a cycle that was 45 days, compared to 30..so iwas 15 days late. all the tests were BFN.
SO it does happen.
if you're over stressed, or started working out, it may delay ovulation and delay AF.

I was 12 days late and I was freaking out.
I was under a ton of stress. It came and all was back to normal.

If you think there is a possibitly you are pregnant, i would retest in another week. When i was pregnant with my first my first test came back negative. Sure enough i retested in a week and it was a big fat positive. But if there is no way you can be pregnant, skipping a period is not uncommon. In fact i called my obgyn just last month and they told me it was fine. If you skip two periods in a row, they want to check you out.

when i was like 21 i didt get my period for three months but i did take a test and i was not pregnant.maybe it was stress
