how long after m/c did you TTC?

I know everyone is different and will heal in their own timeframe.....my DH hopes we can start right after AF shows up.....I think I need to wait a little bit longer, but part of me thinks that I will want to be pregnant (if possible) on what would have been our due date (Aug 27th).

Just curious how long everyone waited before TTC, and how long it took to get pregnant?

I was told to wait til the 2nd cycle after AF to start up again since it was natural (no D&C) but honestly, we just started to BD as soon as we could and had the mentality, that if it happened, it was meant to be. That said, I know some will say this is a risk - we obviously were willing to take it.
I actually didn't get pg again until my 3rd cycle after the m/c so I have no regrets about starting when we did - it happened when it was supposed to.

After MC we didn't do anything to prevent a pregnancy but because I had no idea what my cycle was like, I wouldn't count it as actively TTC. We started actively TTC the first cycle afterwards (i.e. tracking days, etc.)

We waited until I got my 1st af before we started trying again after my d&c in early June...

We didn't MC but had a stillborn. I honestly wanted to try IMMEDIATELY. My body was not understanding NOT being pregnant anymore.
Doctors said to wait 2-3 cycles with AF then give the green light. of course now we were given news to hold us off another month. when YOU feel ready and DH feels ready you are ready

I was told to wait 3 cycles. I had a really hard tme dealing with the M/C emotionally. I decided that I didn't even want to try and get PG until I gave myself enough time to heal that I could go into another pregnancy with JOY and not complete Fear.

I M/C Nov 2007 and we started trying May 2008 and I got PG on the first shot! I am now 36 weeks PG!

I am glad I did this because I had a hard pregnancy with a few scares at teh begining and I think I would have been 100X worse if I had gotten PG right away.

You need to do what is right for YOU, your BODY and your HEART!

we got pregnant 1 cycle after miscarriage but unfortunately that ended in m/c as well (weren't actively trying, but planned on trying again soon.)

After the second, I needed time. My husband wanted to take a break as well. It's a lot to go thru.

You'll know when you are ready. I took a break because I knew I couldn't handle another loss. Take the next month to heal, see how you are feeling.

I would say It took me 4 months of really trying this time. fingers crossed

I miscarried at 7 weeks or so, and got pregnant about a week later. I didn't even have one full AF cycle before getting PG again. It wasn't entirely intentional, and I have to warn you that you are particularly fertile after an m/c so if you aren't ready, you should use protection.

As others said, it was quick though I had a successful pregnancy and my daughter is, by all accounts, healthy, but I really wasn't emotionally prepared and so the first trimester was terrifying for me.

After my 3rd m/c, I waited 4 months after my D&C, I didn't know if I was up to it.

If you feel you need a little time, don't rush yourself. You need time to heal from your loss, physically, mentally and emotionally.

I had m/c in Oct. Got AF in Dec and first +opk in dec. DH and i decided not to BD that night. We are takinga few ons off to heal

We waited through a cycle this time. I have not waited, only to m/c again, so we figured we'd give it a little time.

the first time we waited 2 cycles.. this time its only been one cycle but i dont know if we are going to try this cycle yet

I tried to track AF right after my 1st mc, but it was so irregular that I waited until the next cycle, which is when I ended up conceiving again.

My doctor told DH and I to wait 2 regular cycles before trying to conceive again and so we did. We got pregnant right away but it ended in m/c at 5 weeks. maybe my body wasn't ready just yet. Now as much as I want to try I'm taking some time off to allow myself to heal. I don't think I could handle a 3rd m/c so soon if it were to happen again.

I had a m/c in the beginning of Oct and we started to try immediately after I stopped bleeding and *assumed* I'd be Oing around a certain time....well...it's now January and we haven't been able to get PG yet

both times i mc i was given the go after my first af showed. The first time i mc in may we started ttc again in august - not bc we wanted time but bc af decided to show up on my vacation in antigua. i didnt have clomid to take so that cycle was a very long cycle - had to take provera to induce af again in august.
This time around i mc end of november, af took 6 weeks to show and now im mid cycle of actively ttc.

Your drs may say 1 month but if you are not emotionally and mentally ready id wait until u are.

We didn't wait. As soon as the bleeding stopped, we started trying again. I have to say though, the first cycle after the m/c was longer & strange. The second was normal length, but still weird. The third cycle was when it really go back to totally normal. I got pregnant on the 5th cycle after my m/c.

I waited 2 cycles after my first and 3 cycles after my second. I followed my drs orders. Emotionally, its such a personal decision. You'll know when you are ready. For me, I needed to try again right away.

My first mc we were told to wait 2 cycles and we did and it took 7 months to get pregnant with my son Nicholas. I just had another mc 2 1/2 weeks ago and a D&C, I just went back for my 2 week post op and my dr said that he's supposed to tell me just like he did the first time to wait 2 cycles but he's just going to tell me to do what I feel! So basically we aren't really trying (charting or whatever, i mean i don't even know what my cycle is going to be like) But lets just say we aren't using anything to prevent it either.

My doc said to wait until AF arrives but unless he is really opposed to it, we are going to do the whatever happens happens thing until she comes. Nothing right now though, I am only 3 day past the D&C and I am on pelvic rest as they call it until I see my doc on Thursday.

My dr said to wait one cycle... then I have to start OPKs again so I can go in for IUI when I get a positive (if I decide to try again that quickly, that is).
