biggest food no-no's?

I don't want to diet per se, but I know I need to change a few small things but not sure what. I feel like I should know this by now, but what are some things that I could cut out that will help give me a jump start in my weight loss? I don't drink soda and don't eat take out much .

Re: biggest food no-no's?

How are you portions?
Do you eat sweets, candy, cake, cookies.. ect?
Table sugar in coffee, cereal? you can switch to Slenda (my personal favorite)
Bake chicken instead of fry.
Eat less processed foods, eat fresh fruits - veggies, lean meats, less red meat more fish.
Lite salad dressings, mayo even fat free (they are gross). Use salsa instead of cheese or reg mayo...
I can go on and on.

I switched my white rice for brown rice, white bread for wheat breat, and pasta for whole wheat pasta. I also became more conscious of how many fruits and veggies I was eating everyday and made a conscious effort to add more to my meals everyday. It made a big difference.

This is what I try to do:

Little to no carbs

smaller portions and eat more small meals instead of 2 or 3 big meals.

no dessert

no drinking (maybe 1 night a week)

veggies instead of 100 calories packs, etc.

Nuts to curb appetite

Re: biggest food no-no's?

I like to keep things simple. Grilled or broiled lean meats coupled with a side of whole grains or veggies are my typical meal.

Try and stay away from empty snacking like 100 cal packs or things that won't satisfy your hunger unless it is just for a treat.
