It started today
I think the miscarriage has started on its own. I started bleeding last night and it has continued all day. It hasn't been bad though and I've just had cramps similar to AF. I still have my dr appt. tomorrow so I'll see what they say.

I'm so sorry! I would call your doctor tonight, even if you get the answering service.....they might tell you not to eat after midnight tonight in case you opt to have a D&C. try to get some rest tonight

Thanks. I called the dr. this morning b/c I wanted to see if we could just go ahead and schedule the d&c for tomorrow, assuming the sonogram didn't go well. She just got back to me and said it can't be scheduled the same day-only as an add on. And as an add on, there would be no set time and I could end up waiting around for hours. She said that if the pain and bleeding get so bad, to go to the ER and they will do it there (but I could end up waiting 7 hours again!) In the meantime, I'm going to have the sono tomorrow to see what's going on. Maybe my body has already started to pass it on its own. We can schedule it for next week, but who knows if my body will hold out till then. As usual, I'm kinda in limbo just waiting for answers and closure....

uggh I'm so sorry you will be stuck in limbo waiting for the D&C! Sorry for TMI, but I started passing clots 2 days prior to my D&C and it just worked out in my favor the timing of everything, since my doctor's office does D&C's on Wednesdays and Saturdays and we knew by late Friday that I was definitely miscarrying, they were able to schedule me first thing for Saturday morning. I hope they're able to schedule it for you asap and you feel ok in the meantime. just take it easy for now, I know how hard it is to miscarry naturally.....I'm so sorry you're going through this!!!

I just went through this two weeks ago. I was scheduled for a D&C, but miscarried on my own two or three days before. I called my doctor on Saturday night and she called in a prescription for some medication to help contract the uterus and potentially avoid the D&C (I preferred not to undergo surgery, if possible). When I saw her Monday afternoon, most of it was over, but she did manually finish it. I was able to cancel the D&C. Currently, I am still doing bloodtests to wait for the levels to go down--even with a D&C that could take a couple of weeks.

My appointment went as expected. The baby is still there although my body seems to be recognizing what is happening. We scheduled the D&C on Thursday.
