Those of you who collected unemployment during 2008
Have you received your W2 yet? Im starting to get a little worried that mine is lost in the mail.
I collected NY state unemployment in early 2008 and have since moved out of state. My address is being forwarded to my Virginia address and I called the Moriches, NY post office last week just to make sure it was still valid and they confirmed.
I understand because of this, it will take a little longer for me to receive it but it shouldn't be too much longer. I know several people here in VA who received their VA state unemployment W2's very early in January.

I received my statement about a week ago. Maybe you can call the Dept. of Labor to find out if they can re-issue one to you.

Here's a link to the form from their website - it says you have to mail it in to get a duplicate tax form.

I didn't- I just told my accountant how many weeks I collected for- and we figured it out

Yes, thank you so much for the form. I mailed it into them on Thursday. Hopefully I will get something soon.

There is a message on the automated recording that says you can request a duplicate form (it isn't W2, it is W...something else  ) after a certain date. Call them to find out exactly what you need to do. I didn't pay attention since i was calling for something else, not that.
