AF cramps when running?
Even when it's not time of the month? Sorry for TMI. But I noticed this week I got really bad cramps about 1.5 into my run. It's actually so bad that I have to stop and walk, which is annoying because I'm not tired!
Does this happen to anyone else? Could it be because I am ovulating or something?

Re: AF cramps when running?
Isn't the pain either on one side or the other?? Cramps from running are horrible.....although never associated them w/ AF cramps.......b/c to me, they feel ALOT different. Almost to the point, you can't breathe.
If you drink or eat within an hour of eating, it may cause it.
If it happens.....try and stretch both sides and breathe in thru your nose and exhale from your mouth. Once the pain subsides.......slowly get back into it again.
But breathing like that while running will help it tremendously! It has something to do w/ your diaphraghm and if the breathing is a little off or cut short.......it causes a cramp. I had read that somewhere.
