A bit wiped out!!
There is just not enough time in the day to do all I want to do!!!! Unless I decide not to sleep anymore.
I am wiped out after our 2nd week of EI. And we did not even start Feeding/speech therapy and OT yet. We get 5 ABA sessions per week so far, to be increased as soon as DS gets used to the concept.
But it's not just the ABA. I have to stay on top of the housecleaning. Because they all come at a particular time, I just can't push cleaning the dishes, making sure my house is in order and clean.
On top of that, I decided that it was finally time to shed some weight. So I have been cooking a lot more. Again, time consuming.
I know it takes time to adjust but this is VERY demanding! I am ready for bed by 9pm.
I know it's challenging for DS too. After 60 minutes he has a hard time with ABA. The poor kid starts rubbing his eyes. But at least he warmed up very well to his therapists so that helps a lot.

I know the feeling, it is so hard to go aout and do things because I have so many people coming and going. You will get used to it.

Re: A bit wiped out!!
I totally know what you mean. We have 10 ABA sessions per week and will be starting a speech therapist soon. It's like having a part time job on top of all the regular SAHM duties.
I try to catch up on everything during DD's nap and after she goes to bed. I don't worry about dirty dishes any more, or if some toys are scattered around when the therapists come. They totally understand and beleive me, they have seen alot worse!
It'll get easier once you get into a routine.

Re: A bit wiped out!!
We only have 3 sessions a week...2 speech and one Parent training and its exhausting me, so I know , well can imagine how you feel. And I hate the cleaning part too!!
Hang in there, I bet it becomes second nature before you knwo it and things get smoother.

I want you to know that you WILL eventually develop a routine and find time for it all. I hold my client's parents in the HIGHEST regard and have such respect for all that they do- because you are right- it IS like having another job.
Cleaning is for crazy people anyway!

Re: A bit wiped out!!
it is beyond tiring! we go to a sensory gym 4 days a week (5 seperate times), my gym 1 day, and get feeding at home 3x a week. with all of that, plus a 2-3 hour nap midday, bathing, and 1 hour meals we don't have time for much else.
i worry about the summer when i want to just take him to the park or pool and play.

Re: A bit wiped out!!
I know how you feel! Add two jobs on to all that you stated above. Luckily, Steven only gets 5 therapy sessions a week.
