Hmmm...this is strange

So I had the D&C on 1/21 and I was 8 weeks at that time. This morning I woke up with a tiny bit of brown spotting. I took a pg test and it came back with a very very faint line. My OB/GYN told me to come in and he did bloodwork and a sono. The sono looked fine and the bloodwork should be back on Monday (he tested my beta). I just went to the bathroom a little while ago and in my underwear was brown watery stuff (sorry for the TMI!). I have absolutely no cramps and no PMS symptoms. Has this happened to anyone after a D&C. I really don't know what to make of it and I am getting anxious for AF to come so we can really start TTC again.

I was doing good with my anxiety and then this started happening...Its enough that I had a m/c and now AF is nowhere to be found I never thought that I would be waiting so anxiously for her to show

Hey Genna I was wondering how you were doing. OK so do you think you might be pregnant or do you just think your levels haven't dropped yet?

I had my D&C on 1/22 and today I have had spotting and cramping but no AF yet--i'm also anxiously awaiting her arrival.

I understand about the anxiety too

HPTs were coming back positive for me for WEEKS!!! I slightly recall some spotting etc. It took 6-7 wks for my levels to go back to normal

Being that you were 8 weeks along, it could be that your beta was up really high and is taking a while to come down. Did they do any betas on you after your d&c?

My guess is that he is checking to make sure it is dropping. Unless you BDed this cycle? (Is it possible that you are pregnant again?)

If it was a faint line, it must be pretty low- which hopefully means AF is making her way to you soon.

I know how much the waiting stinks- but you will feel so relieved when she comes and you can get back to business!

You could also be getting AF. I find sometimes I spot before I get AF. To me it seems it could be left over (from the D&C and any period, which happens to me right before I get AF) and is being expelled before AF happens. Sometimes everything is not released right after. That is just me.

My blood has been tested 1-2x a week since 1/19. As of last Friday the level was at 37, so I was puzzled when I got a "period" the very next day. It just ended yesterday...and I found out yesterday that this week's blood level was 16; in other words, a pregnancy test would likely come back with a faint line. So, I don't know what this bleeding is all about. I put a call in to my OB and she should be calling back Tuesday.

It's aggravating because if my blood levels were never checked, I would probably think all was back to normal and be like, "YAY! I got AF back!!" Meanwhile, I actually have NO idea what's going on--and I'm still not back to normal. Grrrrrrr... I feel your pain!!

It took a REALLY long time for my beta to go to 0....and I think that the brown is just old stuff working it's way out.

I was told by my doc that the pregnancy hormone could stay in me for a while which would make HPTs come back positive. It could just be your body taking time to process everything. I had a d&c on 1/23 but haven't had AF yet.

I hope you are doing okay. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
