I did a long time ago. I am sorry to admit this but I type over 70 wpm and I failed the typing test.Chat Icon (which only required 35 wpm). My advice, start practicing on a TYPEWRITER. Yes, you have to hit enter after each line. They said I could retake it at another time but I just didnt bother.

My aunt recently mailed the paperwork for this test to me. I haven't filled it out yet because I have no idea how many WPM I type. Probably not many...lol.

I took it about 2+ years ago. I thought it was fairly easy and the typing is just one part of it. I'm not fast at typing and I still passed. Overall, I scored very high... I'm sure you'll do fine. It's being offered again? I haven't gone to the CS website in a long time.

I took it 2 years ago. The test is easy, at least IMO. I got 1 wrong. The typing is on a computer, not a typewriter. That was easy also IMO. I get letters all the time for job interviews, but nothing I've been really interested in thus far.

I do too. I thought after 2 years, if you still didn't accept a job, they take your name off the list? I didn't know prior to taking the test that they don't offer p/t positions. I received a few letters for the local school districts but the hours didn't work out for me. Also, some of the annual salaries really stink!

I don't think that's true since I still get them and have never accepted a job. I get p/t ones all the time for the Town of Brookhaven.

wow,Really? I have received many letters and never recall p/t from Brookhaven. I believe it's the Suffolk county jobs that are f/t only.

Do you live in the Town of Brookhaven? If not, that would explain why you wouldn't get them. My friend was hired by them from the Clerk Typist list. They have great benefits and hours there (F/T is 9-4:30 I believe).
