Feeling under my armpit

OK i dont want to freak out bc i think this is NOTHING but i always have this pain under my armpit. I think its swelling from shaving.
Is this possible??
If there was god forbod a lump, would it be tender feeling? LIke alittle sore? Or would there be no pain?

Please advise. Im alittle freaked.

Re: Feeling under my armpit

It is possible to have a lump and for there to be no pain. My mom had a cancerous lump and there was no pain. I am unsure if a lump could be painful though. If it doesn't go away in a couple of days I would get it looked at.

Re: Feeling under my armpit

I have had ingrown hairs and swollen lymph nodes in my armpits but it's only for a couple of days and then it goes away. Could it be that?

Re: Feeling under my armpit

I had that a few times and asked my GYN. She said that it could be from shaving or a swollen lymph node. She suggested not shaving for a little while to see if that helped and it did.

Re: Feeling under my armpit

I would almost bet that you've got a sebaceous cyst!!! I had one in the same spot about 15 years ago; it must've been growing a long time, because once it started hurting it was God awful, tender as heck!!! My doctor was able to lance it in the office (with a local anesthetic) and it's never recurred thank goodness. They said it could be an ingrown hair that got "trapped" then after a while the follicle got infected. Get it checked out, I'm sure it's something very minor Chat Icon
