Dizziness and Working out Q
I just started to work out last week...When I start to speed up and run a little on the treadmill, my head starts to hurt, I get dizzy and my chest tightens a bit...
Anyone ever have this? TIA

Re: Dizziness and Working out Q
i used to get dizzy when i started working out, at the end of my time on the elliptical. drinking gatorade helped, and i think my body just had to get used to working out, b/c it eventually went away.

Could be dehydrated. Should drink a lot of water the few hours before you workout. It made a big difference with me. Also eating something within the hour or so before.

Try to increase your water intake throughout the day. Sometimes it helps me to drink half of a glass of OJ about 30 minutes before I have a big workout.
Eta - Also, increase your protein intake through the day. I got dizzy during a training sesson once and my trainer told me to up the protein in my diet.

Re: Dizziness and Working out Q
I used to get this problem...definitely, eat beforehand, drin plenty of water, and check your heartrate. I used to get dizzy because my heart rate was going way too high. Maybe you need to start more slowly!
