its rough running into someone around your due date

my niece was christened this past Sunday......I knew that my godmother's daughter would be at the party, so I thought I'd be prepared for it. but it was so hard! She's due a week before I would've been, and she's showing quite a bit now....and she told me she's possibly finding out the sex in 3 weeks. it makes it feel like my loss is fresh again seeing how far along she is now.

and then someone else at the party, one of my BIL's friends comes up to me and very loudly said "so I guess congratulations are in order???, I heard you're expecting!"....and I had to tell him I miscarried. he felt soooooooo bad but I felt even worse b/c I knew other people could hear us. ugggh!!!!! I thought I wouldn't even have to break this news to anyone anymore, but I guess just when you think you're getting better more reminders come along.

Everytime you think you're getting better, it gets thrown back in your face and the feelings come rushing back. I totally understand how you feel.

I think that I'll always feel this way, no matter how much time passes. There will always be something that brings back these sad memories....anniversary of m/c, due date, baby showers, etc.

Just know that you're not alone.

I posted a while back that DS's teacher at daycare would have been due around the time that I would have. Even though its been over a month since the D&C, my heart still sinks when I see her.

You're not alone and you have every right to be sad. It's a very tough time for us all

Same thing happened to me this weekend. I went out for one of my best friends bdays and I had many of his friends coming up to me and congratulating me. I had to explain to them what happened and they felt horrible. I know its not their fault b/c they didnt know but it still hurt very much. Needless to say I ended up VERY drunk that night

I know exactly how you feel. My due date would have been tomorrow. My BFF had her baby 2 weeks ago, and I keep thinking I would have a little playmate for him right around this time.

i mc the end of november this past year. The begining of dec the office went out our christmas dinner.the women i work with knew i mc. My boss on the other didnt know. We were at dinner i had a few glasses of wine. My boss didnt say anything just kept looking at me strangly. I had no idea he thought i was still pregnant. By the end of the evening (after we all had one too many drinks) we bummed cigarettes from the only office smoker and thats when he said U know i know its ur body and all but do u really think its necessary to drink and smoke? I finally understood what the looks were for. I just told him it didnt work out. Thats it. The subject was ended. He said he was sorry but it never went further.
Afterwards i was grateful he never directly ask me about it and said someting a round about way.
I know it hurts but people want to be happy for u and want to congratulate u not knowing u mc.

Those moments back is so hard-I have a hard time reading about the moms due in June on the pregnancy board (I can't help going over there, I love all things baby)
