I got diagnosed with Hashimoto's about a year ago, and I am on the generic, it is Levothyroxine 125. finally after a year I think my levels have stablized, every 8 weeks when I got my b/w done they had to up the dose. At my last check I was .6 now I don't have to go back for 3 months.

I have Hashimoto's and am on Synthroid 175.
I was misdiagnoised with Hypo by my GP for about 11 years and then my Neurologist sent me to an Endo who dx'd Hashimoto's.
Apparently autoimmune diseases go hand in hand.

I was diagnosed with Hyper -Thyroid at age 13. Then when I was about 18, I had Radioactive Iodine which basically made my thyroid not work at all. I have been on Synthroid 150 for the past 18 years.

ihave hypo hasimotos. im on 88mcg of levothyroxine (sp) my drs keep checking it and upping the dose. I have to go back next week to check it again

I have Hashimoto's, but so far, my thyroid levels are withing a normal range. I just need to get my throid tested regularly and have a couple nodules looked at every year as well.

ETA- how do they diagnose Hashimoto ?? All I've ever been told was that I'm hypo .....hmmmmm

I just diagnosed with hypo-was put on that med you are on but starting at 50 mgs.
I then decided not to take it because my other doctor-a bio-chemist infomed me there is a all natural vitamin that does it called norival.
I decided to try that first-all else fails I have the script.

I don't think I had either a loss or a gain on the Levothyroxine- with me its hard to know for sure because I found out I was hypothyroid through my RE and I happened to be on a ton of IF meds that made me gain at the same time I was put on it...

I have Hashimoto's too...Im currently on synthroid 150...i cannot take the generic. I actually got sick from it.
