Internal Pelvic MRI...any one ever have one?

Any one ever have one? What shall I expect for this test? I'm having one tomorrow and I'm a nervous wreck!! Thanks for your help!!

I didn't think there was an "internal" pelvic MRI.

I've had internal sonograms to get a better look at my cervix, ovaries, bladder, etc.
I then had a pelvic MRI with contrast, but it is not internal. You sit on this board, and they put you in this tube (your head will stick out, because they don't need to get you in that far for the pictures.)

I had mine done at Stony Brook Imaging Center (on the Hospital property); they were all so nice, making jokes...they also gave me headphones so I wouldn't have to hear the loud banging.

The only thing that was "uncomfortable" was that I got chilly.

You are in there for a long time...I think it was about 40 min. But you can just close your eyes, listen to music and zone out.
