yes, it would defenitely show up as a positive HPT as well as a blood test. If you think that is what is going on please go to your dr.

i have taken a number of HPT's and have had a blood test done as well, all negative. Just did a search as to reasons why AF would not show up and that came up as one of them. But everything has been negative.

I was told not always. I had an ectopic and it did read the levels; however, knowing that I could possibly have another ectopic and not have a positive reading, frightens me!!

Is there a reason why you might think you are having an ectopic? I am fearful because I have fibroids and women with fibroids tend to have a higher risk.

Are you on any New meds? I am on new meds and one of the side effects is delayed menstruation. Or it could mean that you didn't ovulate this month.

I just saw my doctor this week and asked about this...it does not always show on a HPT.

It should definitely show up on a blood test. The levels may not be as high as they should be on a normal pregnancy, and it most likely won't double every few days.

Although, when I had my ectopic, mine implanted late so I had a negative beta, THEN it implanted, and I had no idea until I was 8+ weeks...
