The leprechaun visited school!
Okay, hopefully these will work.
My student teacher and I tipped over chairs, stacked bakcpacks, put chairs on tables, left an m&m trail and left some footprints. The footprints led to a note and some pencils for the kids.

The kids must have been so excited! That is one of my most vivid memories from Kindergarten. I remember the paint footprints, and the leprechaun left Andes Candies in our mailboxes.

I used blue and yellow tempera paint. I used cardboard to cut out footprints, but next year, I'm going to look for stamps. The footprints washed off with a sponge and water. Super easy! 
The kids FREAKED!!! Oh man...they squealed!

i used to put green food dye int he class toliet, knock over all sorts of stuff and put "gold dust" around. I told my third graders that leprechauns don't visit 3rd grade b/c their legs are two small to get down to us "underground". They finally stopped checking for leprechauns after lunch. Poor kids ....we just don't have time in 3rd grade for "fun" its test test test!

We actually did this in my room. I do it with the Spring Bunny too. I use my hand to make the foot print. Remember making baby prints on the bus?

Ok so make a fist. The bottom of the fist is your foot print. Then use your finger to make toes. Try it on a foggy mirror.
