I screwed up at work and didn't tell me principal
until last night in an email because I hate confrontation. Even more so, I hate the UFT rep for making a big issue out of everyithing and always trying to attack the principal.
She didn't email me back which means she is really angry!
Now, the question is, how do we move beyond this? Has anyone at work ever screwed up? How did you move forward?

Hope it went okay at work today.
We ALL screw up and we all make mistakes. That is inevitable unfortunately. I think how we handle those mistakes is what sets us apart from others.
In the future, I would be sure to let your boss know right away when a major mistake has been made. I find alerting him or her early and approaching with a suggested solution work the best when a mistake has been made. I would be more upset than an employee of mine waited to tell me about a major mistake than I would be that the mistake happened. I would just apologize for whatever you did wrong, offer to help fix the situation (if it can be fixed), and then just give your boss some time to get over it.
Don't beat yourself up over it too much. We all mess up sometimes.
