my time is valuable
but apparently i have clients who don't think so 
if you make an appointment with me, KEEP it!
and if you walk it without an appointment, don't expect me to bend over backwards to see you right then and there.

I'm right there with you!!!!! I hate when they don't call to cancel. I usually don't mind when a person who is already a client drops in unexpectedly. They're often just dropping off paperwork that I was waiting for. Most of them will notice if I'm busy and just tell me to give them a call. Having friends drop in without a phone call has been worse for me. I've had them expect me to drop everything and go have a 2 hour lunch.

I have this happen on occasion. I usually chalk it up to the fact that they are "clients" and this is part of their behavior.
I hate it too though when poor planning on another's part always has to turn into an emergency, on my part.
But love it or hate it, it's part of my job and will always be if I continue to work in the human services field.
Most people I work with now because of their diagnosis are always going to have difficulties with planning skills.

I hate the clients who don't do any work before i come and i sit at their site and wait for them to have stuff ready for me. they are going to be billed for me sitting in their office twittling my thumbs.

I have gone on road trips where I set up appointment with store owners and they aren't in the store when I show up.
That is just the worst for me.
