Post Nasal Drip With Lump In Back Of The Throat??????
I always have some degree of post nasal drip but, the past two weeks or so, I also feel a sort of lump in the back of my throat kind of where the drip is. Does anyone else get this???
Everything I read says its either related to post nasal drip or reflex but, I don't have any other sign of reflux. I'm trying to figure out how seriously I should take this and whether or not I need to see an ENT. I have to confess I hate doctors and the though of an endoscopy scares the hell out of me.

i know u say its like a bump in ur throat...but would u also describe it as a "pea size thing that is stuck in the back of ur throat and u can feel it even when ur not swallowing"
that for me was asure sign of acid reflux and it was the only way i could describe it!!

i know u say its like a bump in ur throat...but would u also describe it as a "pea size thing that is stuck in the back of ur throat and u can feel it even when ur not swallowing"
that for me was asure sign of acid reflux and it was the only way i could describe it!!
Actually, that's not a bad description. I'm actually much more aware of it when not swallowing. Did you have any other signs of reflux??? What are you doing to treat it???
In my mind, it just seems to be related to thsi chronic drip. But, I'm really not sure. I guess I should probably stop self diagnosing and get it checked out.

at the time i think that was my only feeling of having reflux like i couldnt understand what was causing it..most recently i had the stomach flu and got acid reflux b/c of it and have been perscribed protonix and it has really really helped... i also had the endocscopy for the first time ever ( search for my posts about it becuase i was terrified!!) and it turned out to be a simple simple procedure that FINALLY gave us some answers... get it checked out so u can find some relief
