HOUSE (spoiler, dont look if you havent seen it yet!!)
did anyone watch on monday?  We had DVR'd it and watched it last night, we sorta knew something big was going to happen b/c it was all over the web and news but I kept from reading a review, shocked!

I heard about it before I watched it, so I kind of knew what was going to happen, but it was still a huge shock....
They never showed Kal Penn during the episode, so I could easily see how people would think that Kal killed himself, and they had to write it into the story somehow.
I really liked him on the show. I liked his viewpoints on a lot of the topics. He was a good balance to House. He was starting to stand up to him, which House needs.

did anyone think it was a bit freaky that at the end of the episode they said something about how u can go on som website for his online memorial??? for a minute i thought that he died in real life!

totally, and I am not liking how they have house "handling" it... i still dont know if he is feeling guilt or if he is obsessed b/c he cant "solve" it. If it is the later, I think I will loose a little love for his charachter (or the writers)... I think we will learn a lot more about his character bc of this.

WASHINGTON – The White House has hired actor Kal Penn as a liaison between President Barack Obama's administration and Asian constituents. White House spokesman Shin Inouye said Tuesday that the actor who had a recurring role on Fox's TV show "House" and has starred in several movies would join the staff as an associate director in the Office of Public Liaison.
His role will be to connect Obama with the Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities, as well as arts groups.
Penn starred as Kumar in the movie, "Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay." His "House" character committed suicide in Monday's episode.
Penn backed Obama during the campaign. The White House says a start date for Penn hasn't been set.
The White House did not reveal what Penn would be paid. Aides with similar titles earned between $41,000 and $91,000 last year.
The hire was first reported by Entertainment Weekly.

So my friends told me to avoid all of my entertainment websites until I saw House so I did. BUT THEN I put on NPR, and it was political news. . .and they spoiled it! Yesterday they said that they got A LOT of hate mail about that LOL
It was okay, I thought House's reaction was ridiculous - they are losing everything that makes him "human" or a character we care about AT ALL (IMO)

he is not AT ALL, this is his character. he is obsessed with figuring out why it happened, how it happened. It is a puzzle to him, just like his patients. Once again, little compassions... 100% house! (IMO)

it was a little confusing, at one point, i thought is was feeling guilty and he never "feels" anything. Then I realized as the show went on that he was just trying to figure it out, that was why he was obsessing about it. We will see where it goes!!

yeah from reading what happened on the website it definitely seemed to me he was more concerned with solving it than anything else, I don't think it was guilt.

The scene at the Kutner's house was a little much. Even House should be able to keep his mouth shut in that situation....
I get annoyed with how immature they have him be so often. Silly mind games he plays with everyone. They aren't the mind games of an overly intelligent person, but more like things an 8yo would do....

oh I definitely agree. if he doesnt show any signs of remorse it is kinda inhumane. But I guess that is what the writers are going for...i dont know i always liked house and his character the best. But I guess when it comes down to his own team he could at least feel something you know. He was sympathetic towards Cuddy when she didn't get her baby so why not towards this?!?
