Socializing puppies
To socialize our pups, we are sending them to Pet Smart for a few hours on Friday so they can hang out with other dogs. Has anyone ever done this? Should be interesting.

Make sure they get socialized with cats, too. Bring em to my apt!

DH and I would do this, as well as take Bama to the dog park (as soon as he was old enough), to outdoor shopping centers so that he could be around lots of people, and to the neighborhood playground so he could see and hear children.

Do you leave them there? I should look into that with Molly....she is soooooo unsociable.
They have a "play time" in a contained room with several dogs and 2 staff members.

We take Katie everywhere we can. We go to Petco for treats and toys alot so she can meet people and other dogs. I actually set up a playdate for her and my parents dog Annie on Saturday.

THat's what I am going to start doing with Rocky. I'm going to take him to Petsmart to doggie day camp on Friday every other week. It's 23 for the day. They feed your dog, walk him, give him time out and most of the time playing in a room with other dogs.
The woman told me it's only in the Huntigton Petsmart. The only Petsmart in NY to have it so far.
