Hooves for Hope
From April 18-25 2009, Sonny Garguilo, Founder of Hooves for Hope will be riding his once wild mustang AMERICA, for a seven - day, 140 mile ride on horseback from Montauk Point to Sands Point.
Proceeds from sponsorships will help enrich our Hooves for Hope equine- assisted riding program for Autism. This will allow us to offer more scholarships and host other free community events for families affected by this lifelong disorder.

Hooves for Hope is pleased to announce the start of their program! This past this weekend at the Stables on the prestigious Sands Point Preserve!
Please be sure to get your application in as soon as possible, as our program has limited space availability. Our program is designed to teach our learners in a classroom and equine setting! Our well trained Autism Instructors teach the children in an individualized one on one 45 minute session. We address the children's communication and social skills as well as any behavior issues that the child may be presenting

For those with financial hardships, who wish to participate in our program, Hooves for Hope is pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity, that has been made possible by the Islip Horseman's Association (IHA). Their generous contribution will allow us to grant participation in a 6 session package in our program.
