Scrapbook for dummies....
Hello Ladies...so my son is 1 and I have not even started his 1 year scrapbook...i was looking at digital scrapbooking and I feel like such a dummy....
Can you recommend easy to follow websites for scrapbooking?
Can you give me some info...like
1) Do I make it online and print on my own? I have 2 books at home that were given to me so that I can start the scrapbook but when it comes to creativity....I don't have it..so I just stare at it.
2) Is it very expensive to do it digital?
Any info, guide will be appreciated...
Thank you in advance.

Re: Scrapbook for dummies....
So, you are undecided about digital vs. crafting with paper? You could do a combination of the 2 but if you have not done scrapbooking before, it may be easiest to pick one. I do mostly paper craft type scrapbooking but I do make some simple digital photo albums and I use my computer to make titles for my paper pages. I go to scrapbook.com. I look at the galleries with other people's pages and I read the forums. It might not be the simplest place to start, though. Try buying a magazine. They have lots of ideas and there are magazines dedicated to paper and digital. I prefer paper scrapbooking because I do not just use pictures. I add all sorts of things, like tickets to events, even DS's hospital bracelet. I could do that digitally by scanning the items but I enjoy working with paper.

Re: Scrapbook for dummies....
I like digital for two reasons, it is cheaper (I already own photoshop which is the only real tool I need) and it is much faster for me to run through ideas digitally than with paper.
I have found a lot of free online digital scrapbooking sources for paper, embellishments, etc. here are some links if you are interested:
Shabby Princess
Scrapbook flair
free digital scrapbooking
mandy's digital scrapbook blog
The Free digital scrapbooking site has lots of templates to help you get started for when you are drawing a blank or short on time
I made this one today using a template from that site, most of the papers/embellishments came from the Shabby Princess site

Re: Scrapbook for dummies....
Thanks I had fun throwing it together
You would need some type of graphic editing software. GIMP is a free program, I have never used it, but I know there are others on this site who have and are happy with it.
