Mothers Day

It's coming! Sunday, May 10th, in three weeks.

Do you buy cards or presents for Moms in your life, other than your own Mother? I usually get my sisters some kind of potted plant or something springy each year, as we all have gardens.

This year, I bought all of them this (and one for myself):

Since I am a Godmother also, one of my sisters usually gets me a card, which I really appreciate. Chat Icon

Re: Mothers Day

DH and I buy for our Mom's and Grandmothers. Our sisters are (thank goodness) too young for kids.
I am a godmother to one of my sisters also. So she gets me a card.

I buy a present for my Mom and Grandma..I send a card and flowers to an Aunt I am very close to, she was like a mother to me growing up.

Sometimes I get a plant or whatever for others..

Oh yeah, MIL gets something too.

I just send cards to my mother, grandmother, & godmother. My godmother doesn't have any children, so I think she really appreciates it.

My mom always tells me not toe get her gifts, but sometimes my brother & I send flowers.

This year, I will be out of state for a wedding, so I will send something to my mother & grandmother.

My Mom gets a big gift and my sister gets a card and a small gift. My nieces and nephews always get me stuff too (I'm 2 out of 4 of their God mothers).

Re: Mothers Day

Only for my mom.
My sister (and sister in law) isn't a mother either- but I'm not sure I'd get her anything for mother's day even if she was...

Re: Mothers Day

I only give cards to my mom and grandma (they don't need anything, not even flowers Chat Icon). My godmother is no longer in my life.

DH buys for his mom, his godmother and I'm sure he'll buy something for his sister this year (she's a new mom).

Re: Mothers Day

Both our moms are passed, so we make a trip to the cemetery with flowers.
I don't receive anything for mother's day. I used to give my sister a card and flowers but stopped doing that. I'm not a mom, but I am an aunt and a godmother.
It's not a day that I dwell on, too much sadness for me.

It's the first Mother's Day since my Mom passed away. It's going to be a very rough day for me. Good thing my DH has big shoulders.
