Is there a stomach bug going around? Updated

I was up all night with what seems like a nasty one!

I am obviously taking the day off but I would seriously rather be in school for 20 hours straight than feel this lousy!


To the best of my knowledge, my students aren't ill except for one who had an ear infection. And ........ an ear infection is a walk in the park compared to this!

So, a co-worker (and friend) called and asked how I was feeling. She asked if I think I'm pregnant- so I admitted that I haven't been throwing up

Another co-worker was in the room with her and asked my friend how I was doing so my friend blurts out, "She has the runs" I should have just said I'm home with an ear infection! I really hope word doesn't get around about that tomorrow! HOW EMBARRASSING!

Yea I considered that, but my ONLY symptoms are stomach related.

No fever.
No congestion.
No cough.
And, no whatever else they are listing as the symptoms! lol


I HIGHLY doubt this is related. And I am usually the type to freak out and panic, so if I am remaining calm about this, I'm pretty confident this is a 24hr thing or something.

This may sound strange but I actually really DON'T want to take off today! TMI ALERT but I was in the bathroom for an hour in the middle of the night and I was still thinking to myself that I would try to make it in! I prepared a good lessons, etc for the day! But it's pretty clear I can't go. I would even be nervous about the car ride there.
