First anniversary is next week...feeling a little melancholy
has anyone else felt this way?
Not that I wish for a second that I was back there, still planning and looking forward to the wedding. I am sooo glad its done. But I keep thinking back to where I was this time exactly a year ago....all the excitement, anticipation, looking forward to my family being here, etc. The first anniversary seems almost anti-climactic. Can anyone relate?

I miss all the anticipation. My wedding truly was one of the BEST days of my life . I wish I could push a button and experience it again anytime I want. ..............Friends, family, music, my GIGANTIC WHITE GOWN , and of course, my wonderful DH looking handsome in his tux!......................
I do see what you mean, but think of all that you have to look forward to and anticipate! A house... a family....... etc.

Re: First anniversary is next week...feeling a little melancholy
it's so weird that you mention this, because i was JUST dealing with the same thing. It hasn't been a year yet (only 4 months actually) since the wedding. But i started reminiscing on these past 2 years and how MUCH has changed in my life so drastically over that time. I posted this whole thing on FB about it. lol. It makes me kind of nostalgic, I guess. Not necessarily that I want to go back because i really AM happy with where I'm at now, but sometimes I still get just a tiny bit 'homesick' for the good old days You're not alone in feeling this way.
