It sounds like your boss is a little paranoid herself...
I would just ignore her and let her wallow in her extreme paranoia. She will learn at some point that not everything has to do with her...

YES it would annoy me. I hate when someone at work hears me on the phone and then gets involved in the conversation…very annoying.

Right! I can hear her every word too but i would NEVER say a word to her...it's called respect/consideration.
I think she gets annoyed when she asks what I'm talking about and say "oh nothing I'm fine", or "oh I wasn't speaking to you, I was talking to so and so"

Okay...I keep venting on FB (b/c I will lose my mind otherwise) about this woman who freaking CHEWS ice ALL DAY LONG. I mean all day every day.
She gets a big (like 30 oz cup) cup filled with ice and sits at her desk and chews it like it were potato chips...except in between you hear the lips smacking together b/c she chews with her mouth open. I'm very sensitive to it anyway. Hate when people eat with their mouths open. she does this while she is talking and on conference calls on speaker.
I cannot begin to explain how annoying and frustrating it is to listen to all day. Then she'll come out and say "wow i'm cold"  I was venting and christine came up with Suzy Snow Cone and I loved it and htought it was perfect. A lot of people that know my boss are on FB so i have to be careful.

get some earplugs stat!!!

it honestly is. there is something with the way the desks are designed b/c I have the radio on my PC under my desk...can barely hear it...i was in her office earlier and was like Holy crap, that radio is loud.
although not loud enough to drown out her ice chewing.
not trying to be all dramatic...but yesterday i was practically in tears from being so frustrated b/c it goes on ALL DAY and she was here all week. I'm counting down the minutes until 3p when she leaves today.
