I think that 2 years is the limit to be called a NW. JMO

Well, as per Jewish tradition, you're considered a "bride and groom" for the first year. But I'd say two years. I feel like it takes people time to settle in, KWIM?
eta: our first anniversary is in three weeks, please don't vote me off the board!

Technically probably after your first anniversary, but I know I will feel like a newlywed up until we have kids, whenever that will be.

Re: when would you consider yourself NOT a newlywed anymore??
I agree- probably 2 years. If I have kids before that 2 year mark tho, then I'll stop calling myself a Newlywed at that point

Re: when would you consider yourself NOT a newlywed anymore??
i feel like an old married woman... i actually NEVER felt like a newlywed and i think its because we live in an apt in my parents house were not "out on our own" and he moved in 6 months before the wedding... so i think my newlywed stage will kick in when we move out!! and by then well have our 1st baby so ill get it all at once!!

Re: when would you consider yourself NOT a newlywed anymore??
We lived together 4 years before our wedding- i think that was more of a newlywed phase.
I like being a newlywed, I am holding on for as long as possible.
I agree with previous posters, I think I will consider myself a newlywed until we have kids.

I'd say 2-3 years or after having kids. whichever happens first.

ITA I think if you have kids earlier than that, you take urself out of the "NW" category because your priorities and family dynamic change but I think you can consider yourself a newlywed for at least 2 years

I would say 1 year or when you are pregnant, whichever is less time.
I don't think I would refer to myself as a NW if I was 6 months pregnant!
