A funny story...My mom is still making us laugh!!
My father and brother both work out in Calverton National Cemetery where my mom is buried (she passed away this past December). My uncle (mom's brother) and his wife went out there to visit the grave for the 1st time last week. My Uncle did not come to my mom's funeral, he was put in the hospital b/c he had a stroke the morning it was.
Anyway, they go to the gravesite, and are met by my dad. As they step on the lawn, the sprinklers go off soaking them all, including my Uncle's car (he left his window open). Of course, my Dad and Aunt are hysterical b/c my uncle took the brunt of it and they never saw him move so fast (he's a big guy) and scramble to close his car windows, he was drenched!!!.
My dad goes back to the office and his boss asks him how the visit went. My dad replied 'good, my BIL and his car got soaked! they must be testing the sprinklers out in the section." My dad's boss looked at him and said, "What? Those spinkler systems have not worked in 2 years!"
My dad laughed, and saying 'thats Carol for you! she was getting her brother back for not making her funeral"
It was just like my mom to soak my uncle, she loved to pour water on me when I was tanning in the yard or flip the raft in the pool. Just shows me, she's always here with us!
